VZUG are a Swiss market leader for household appliances producing high quality appliances for the kitchen and laundry room.  Developing innovations that set new standards in the market, they constantly endeavour to make their appliances more user friendly, more efficient and more ecologically friendly.

With many international design awards under their belt and with products designed for people for whom only the best is good enough we were excited to take on the challenge and to compliment their space with that same continued philosophy.

Boutique AV was presented with the task of delivering a solution of dynamic audio visual technologies using an approach that was sensitive to V-ZUG’s design aesthetic yet efficient and robust enough to consistently meet the day to day requirements of multiple users from the salesperson, event coordinators, presenters and chefs.
A complete view of the cooking demonstration area was required with a specific focus on twelve appliances to be instantly demonstrated at any given time.
A projector and screen would be required to display their products to a wider audience and the provision for Audio re-enforcement and support would be essential throughout the showroom so presenters could be clearly heard by their audience and all this to be controlled via a simple touchscreen controller from any location in the showroom – This controller would be integral, as it would be transforming a complex array of technologies into a simple interface for anyone to easily use.

A high resolution Lumens PTZ camera is controlled by a custom designed GUI with an illustrated visual of the kitchen, allowing the presenter to simply select the appliance demonstrated triggering the PTZ camera to switch instantly between its twelve pre-set areas. When not in use the camera retracts back into the ceiling cavity via a hide-away lift system from Ultra-Lift, this seamlessly integrates with the showroom aesthetics whilst maintaining a professional, discrete look.

To implement a high-impact visual display for larger audiences, an Epson projector and 92” motorised screen was employed providing crisp, detailed images so nothing of the demonstration is missed and the in-ceiling Sonance speakers re-enforce the message produced by its presenters via wireless headsets throughout the desired area of coverage. Additionally, two 42” LED screens were strategically placed to maximise coverage of the showroom for any event taking place or message to be shown.

As the integrator it is our job to consult whilst adhering to our client’s requirements assisting in amplifying the customer experience and, of course, the end result. We believe that selling aspirational products lies in ever-present engagement, interactivity and entertainment.
